Hip hop was in full bliss under the cloudy skies and cloudy rooms at the 1st ever San Diego Hip Hop Festival. Sponsored by West Coast Radio TV . The event featured artists and talent from all over the city. San Diego’s own DJ Artistic kept the crowd rockin and the party goin holding it down on the Ones and Twos, while @djlegend_sd was the host for the afternoon. Artists like, Bad Lucc Cortez, Dru Jefe, SpeakerBoxx & Boon League, blessed the mic and gave the people in attendance a good show, and good look for San Diego hip hop.
Not to be left out the event was 420 friendly and the vendors did not disappoint. Biggie Babylon of Babylons Garden was in attendance along with the whole squad in tow with everything from merchandise and free edible samples for event goers. Special guest Mitchy Slick had the Triggeration OG in rotation along with his Young Kind artist hitting the stage. It was a good day for San Diego, whose once thought of hip hop scene as non existent. Today there were clear signs of a flourishing scene despite the stigma that has been put on the town. A co sign from Beto Perez couldn’t have made it any better. Stand Up San Diego we see you.
